PC: An Awkward Confession

He turned his eyes back to the medical book in his hand. In his other hand was a cup of fresh black coffee that he sipped on occasion. "I don't know what you're talkin' about, Gon."

"Don't try to hide it. Just admit it, Leorio."

"Seriously, get to the point." He sipped some of his coffee. "Admit what?"

The twelve-year-old's grin widened even more. "It's obvious that you like Alicia, Leorio Paladinight. It's written all over your face!"

Leorio practically choked on his beverage as it fumbled in his now shaky hand. He whipped his head around and glared at Gon who roared with laughter. "Where the hell did you get that idea, you damn brat?!" he coughed out. "I never said anything like that!"

"Like I said," Gon answered in between cackles, "it's written all over your face! Pretending's not gonna work on us!"

It appeared he had hit the nail on the head.

"Forget it, Gon," said Killua as he leaned against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest. "He's not gonna admit it openly. He's just cowardly like that."

Growling, the blushing Leorio stood up, leaving Gon to laugh on the floor. "What was that, midget?!" He rolled up his sleeves, ready to throw a few punches. "I, for one, am not a coward! You called the wrong person a coward!"

Kurapika also chimed into the conversation. He smiled at the now blushing Leorio who was ready to pound both boys in the faces. "When do you plan to confess to Alicia-chan?"

Almost choking again, Leorio's face turned a deeper shade of red. "No way in hell I'm—"

The conversation was quickly interrupted when Alicia, Leorio's crush, walked into the room. She blinked at seeing the growing chaos in the room, looking from the three boys to Leorio.

"Is everything all right in here?"

Gon, Kurapika, and Killua snickered amongst themselves as Leorio laughed nervously. "Nothin' at all!" He glared at the three boys and smiled back at Alicia. "Everythin's fine in here! What is it? Ya need something?"

The brunette's peach-colored cheeks turned a light pink as she shifted from one foot to another. "I was…wondering if I could talk to you about something, Leorio-kun." Her emerald eyes moved from the three boys to Leorio, indicating that it was more of a private talk between the two of them. Leorio got the message rather quickly.

"Right! I got it!" He started herding the three boys out of the room. "All right, why don't you three go out and play or somethin'! We adults got some stuff to talk about!"

Gon was the first to to protest, "Aw, come on! I wanna hear, too!"

Kurapika chuckled. "Don't be upset, Gon. Let's cheer the lovebirds on from the outside."

Leorio's face grew redder as he hissed, "Get outta here, damn it!"

Alicia tilted her head slightly, her chestnut brown pigtails shifting to the left as she watched the three boys being forced out of the room. "Um…"

Leorio turned back to her once the door was closed; the silence between them grew more awkward by the minute. "So…what'd you wanna talk about, Alicia—?"
