Ready for Christmas~

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 26, 2011, 9:28 PM
Hello everyone and thanks for reading! It's nice to know that the holiday seasons have come to the world...and so have finals. ; w ; Not too crazy about it but hey... Is everyone reading for winter break? I'm sure everyone going to school is~ :la:

Thanksgiving was over rather quickly. My parents had to work on Thanksgiving Day so we celebrated on Friday instead. It was nice and kinda fun. My Thanksgiving Thursday was made of up of anime, anime, and more anime! Mostly Gintama since I needed to catch up in it. |D I'm almost there, though. Didn't get too far, though. Only about 20 or so episodes to go~ :la:

I took two days off of studying so I could celebrate Thanksgiving but I think I'll cram work myself to death so I can remember the needed stuff for my last Psych exam. Then it will be over...! /rejoices However, my English teacher decided to spring a final on me and I'm feeling even more nervous about that class. It's a lot harder than my other two classes and doesn't allow make-ups or extra credit on anything. I pray that I pass my English exam...

Commissions and trades are still open so please send me your orders! Thanks a lot to those who have commissioned me a lot these past few weeks. I really appreciate it and I'm so happy that I've gotten closer and closer to my goal. :D I'll probably do this again...maybe. I don't know. |D

A begrudging England awoke from his supposedly relaxing nap when he heard the sounds of yapping, followed by a series of rapid knocking, just outside his front door. He grumbled to himself as he trudged to the door.

When he opened the door, he muttered out an angry "What do you want?". In front of him was his little brother America...with a new pet. A poodle, to be exact. And it was especially fluffy.

"...Question. What is that...?"

Happy Birthday America"I love my freedom; I love my America." - Jessi Lane Adams

Today was America's birthday, the Fourth of July, or Independence Day in the United States. None of his friends knew how old he was, nor did they want to know. The number would be much too high to comprehend, even though he was young compared to the older nations.

America had invited the nations to come to his house for a birthday extravaganza. He was known for those wild parties he loved to throw, full of junk food and loud music. England, America's older brother, usually complained about the craziness and the "disgusting food" that he cooked but he let it slide for this occasion.

My parents work in retail so they were required to work on Black Friday, which, at their store, started actually at 12 am. Really, really crazy. At Walmart, the store was so crazy and people were acting ridiculous so one person actually got tazed in the electronics section. Derp. I'm glad I do all of my Christmas shopping online so I don't have to deal with the pain of getting up hella early and waiting in a gigantic line to pick up some of the 'best' deals. I will never understand...but, most of my shopping is done so I'm at ease. Even if my wallet isn't. P:

Finals for me are in a little over a week. I'm excited to be done with this semester since some recent news has put some serious stress on me and I need time to fricken breathe from studies and just have time to myself, you know? :3 But, I really do hope that you get through all of yours with flying colors and you successfully complete your first semester, one that you can be proud of no matter what your parents say. Hoping for the best from you~!

Oh, speaking of English. Look at the points as a way of boosting your grade instead of hurting it. God. My sophomore English class, I didn't read it in the syllabus until the VERY last few months, but if you were absent more than three times at the end of the semester he'd drop your whole grade by a letter. I was so freaked out about how many classes I missed I had to go back and count them all, since I needed that A to maintain my scholarship. Luckily I didn't go over the limit and got an A, but that was still so painful. :/ Some policies in college are just...no...

Ooh, I would hate to work those hours. I'm not much of a morning person so I'd hate to work that late and then get up early to do something else... Dx I heard about that incident and I also heard about a woman who was pepper-spraying other customers just so she could get an XBox for kids. Talk about nuts. I still need to go Christmas shopping for myself for my friends. I would love to send you something by mail but I'm sure my mother would have my head for it. But I'm starting to shop online now! 83

Mine end on the 13th, I think, but my Psych teacher told me that I could stop going to classes after the 7th. I am pretty happy about that but I love her class so much. I would hate to leave so early. ; w ; But I'm glad that your finals will be over pretty soon. That's good that you can finally relax and kick up your feet. :D Thanks! I will give it all I've got before this semester ends~ :la:

True but the field that I'm going into, nursing, is a competitive field. I have to make sure I get straight As in order to even be considered a candidate. But that's pretty scary of your teacher to do that. I'm surprised he was even allowed to do it. I'm glad you still got an A in the class; it would suck if you didn't just because of attendance. What a dumb policy to have...

Haha, same here. Early mornings just kills me, I can barely function. Like my classes this year, one of them M-Th is at 8 am...when most people don't start the day until at least nine. It's difficult because I like to stay up since at night I have downtime to myself but then I know I have to get up early and then end up only getting about 6 hours of sleep. And loool. Pepper spray for an xBox? It's just so pathetic. I mean, like I was telling my parents, there's no item out there that I would become that hostile for. Just shows how selfish some people can be. But aww, you don't have to get me anything. <3 I'm glad you can shop online now though! Does that mean you have a credit card? O:

That would be SO bomb. xD Even if I did love that class I would use that time to study for other finals, sleep...or just slack off. Haha! But yeah. Finals don't start until the week after this upcoming one and it shouldn't be too harsh, so I'm just glad that I got through yet another semester. Somehow. Still trying to get as many points possible though.

I understand. I actually commend you for going into nursing; back in junior high and high school I was planning on becoming a doctor but the pressure was so intense. So that's a really big commitment and I'm glad you're taking it so seriously since some people think they can just laze their way through it and get a certificate. Anyway, yeah...that teacher was cool besides that little tidbit. I was just happy I eavesdropped on some fellow classmates and heard them say that, otherwise...dang.

Ooh, that'll be hard. My earliest class was at 10:30 but my parents still make me get up early. I would hate to have a class at 8 in the morning. TT^TT I know, right? That is pretty sad and for something like an XBox... |D Be warned. I will one day. :dummy: And no, I have a debit card. I don't have a credit card since my mom says I need a job for that.

True. That time could be put to good use; I could be doing other less important more important things. XD Good luck on getting full points, or as many points as possible, for those exams! <3 How many final exams do you have during that week? Let's hope it's not a lot. D:

I was thinking of being a surgeon until we dissected frogs in middle and high school. Then I changed my mind. XD Nursing seems like a better job for me since I can help people but not have to see too much guts... /shot It's scary to see those kinds of people and I'm sure I'd see them on the floor if I get in. I'm sure there are people who are wondering, "How did those people become nurses?!" LOL. xD Oh, I see. It's a good thing you eavesdropped, too. You learned one of your teach's dirty, little secrets~ :la:

10:30? Are you serious? XD You lucky duck. I would kill to go in that late...and that sucks that your parents make you get up early anyway. Whenever I don't have a class, I specifically tell my 'rents that I don't need to be up so they don't barge in and think that I'm going to be late or something. But yeah, I took this class because I really wanted to and the whole semester has been bleh in terms of getting up early. Next semester I think the earliest class I'll have will be at 9, which is a heck of a lot better than 8. And oh, that's pretty awesome. My card doubles as both debit and credit but I only use debit because I don't want to get tangled up in all the complicated stuff...

Well, I have a cumulative final in my internet class, an exam in astronomy, and an essay/discussion due in drugs&behavior. My psychobiology class is just going to be attending and I'm not sure about P.E., probably just submitting our workout logs or something. Are you taking finals in all of your classes?

Haha! I hated biology and dissecting, only because it's difficult to compare diagrams to the flesh and blood you see in front of you. In my junior year class we spent the last month (since we took our exam early) just doing dissections, working our way up from worms to baby sharks. It was pretty fun because mainly I didn't do any of the actual cutting since we had to work in groups. P: But yeah! I think it's an admirable job, but then again anything in the health care professional takes a lot of guts. And maybe you'll get to be one the wise nurses like on the medical sitcoms who upstages the doctors, lmao.

Man, I wish I had your parents right now. I would so tell them not to wake me up early if I had a class at noon. My mom's always the ones complaining about driving me here and there and yet she doesn't want to let me get driving lessons. I don't think I'll ever get her logic. Dx Haha, that's good. It's a lot better than 8, I'd say. More time to sleep. |D Really? I never knew a card could double as both. o:

That's a lot but I've never heard of just "showing up" for an exam for any class. XD And I didn't know colleges had P.E. That seems like such a "high school" sort of class. /shot But yeah, I'm taking finals in all my classes, I think. I just took an exam in Psychology but I'm not sure if my teacher is considered it a "final exam". I'd have to ask to make sure. The next one is in English, which is on the 8th.

Dissecting sharks has become more common in schools...at least I've noticed that lately. I worked on small fish and worms but never a shark. |D Haha, I wish. That would be cool if I could outsmart a doctor, who's had more medical know-ho than me. The best revenge evah! :dummy:

That doesn't make any sense. O.o Not wanting you to take driving lessons, I mean. I think it'd be nice if you could drive yourself to and from school so you would be able to (maybe?) sleep in and not have to worry about relying on them for transportation. If she wants you to become more independent then it's gonna have to happen eventually...are there any people you know over eighteen who can take you out and show you the ropes? Haha and yeah, I dunno. They always give me the option to use credit but I'm like, noooo way am I going to do that! I think the two are synonymous, it's just how you use them.

LOL. Yeah, well my psychobiology teacher hates exams (rightfully so) so she said that we won't have a final, but we are required to go to class and attend that day because it's mandatory...school policy. But, it'll be okay because she's just going to lecture and it's not like I'll have to absorb that new information for a test or something. And yeah, another requirement of my college is PE. But I'm taking an online class where you create your own workout program so it hasn't been that bad; I just think the whole thing is silly. Oh man! I'll be done by the eighth. xD Well then I guess that means more luck to you to survive next week!

Yep, the shark thing was pretty awesome. But then again, the dissections got old after a while and we didn't have to fill out assignments, just following the directions on paper. One time we tried to dissect starfish but I think they were too old because they were all mushy inside, it was pretty disgusting. XD Haha! And yeah, sometimes doctors can be so pompous, and especially interns, treat nurses like they're lesser than them. But nurses have just as much knowledge if not more when dealing one-on-one with patients and practicing the basics so much!

It's probably because she doesn't want to pay for another car note and I can understand that since both of our cars are paid off. However, she says that I would have to pay for the insurance and such on the car. But...don't I need a job for that? It's a vicious cycle in my opinion. I would like to ask one of my mom's friends to either teach me to learn how to drive or at least take me to lessons if my parents don't have time. I just don't know if she'll be able to or not... Ah, I see. That is still so cool. |D

Lucky. I hope I don't have another exam in Psychology; that would be wonderful! Oh, that is so cool! I would like to do that if I had a P.E. class in my school. Haha, thanks. I hope you can get all the R&R you want and I'll make sure to survive so I can join you! :la:

Haha, really? I would feel the same thing if I just dissected with nothing really to do after that. |D I would feel sorry for the interns that are striving to be doctors. From what I've seen from too much Grey's Anatomy, the doctors or the ones in charge are pretty mean to the interns. D:

Oh, and did you hear the latest from FUNimation? :3 (I hope I hadn't told you yet~)
