Summer is just around the coner!

Sun May 20, 2012, 11:26 AM
Hello everyone and thanks for reading! I'm sure you all know that summer is just around the corner! Good luck on those who are finishing up their finals and preparing for graduation! I know you guys need the summer break most of all! :la:

Some updates in my life: My sister is in the same boat since she only has about five days left until she's done with school. However, I'm not even sure if she's going to go to public school or stay home-schooled for her sophomore year. She's said that she hates the school she's in now but she doesn't seem too thrilled about going to a public or private school. I don't think my parents even know what to do.

On the other hand, here's some good news: My parents are finally thinking about letting me learn to drive! :iconexcitedlaplz: I've found a few driving schools in my area and even some online courses to take so I won't have to sit in a classroom. The only setback is that the classes are super expensive. I'm afraid my mom would change her mind about letting me do it. D8 *crosses fingers* I'm praying that I can learn and possibly get my license and maybe though I highly doubt it a car sometime in the fall or winter.

I'm also working on finding more scholarships and finishing up the editing for the two I plan to apply for. FAFSA hasn't replied with any results about financial aid and the financial aid package from my choice college, I'm hoping, should come in the mail soon. Both my mom and I are hoping it'll come before I have to meet the June deadline to accept admission. We want to see if I won anymore scholarships before sending in the admission fee which is a little on the expensive side, to be honest. I have no idea what it's for and it sucks that it doesn't go towards my tuition. D|. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I got a $16,000 scholarship from the college since it has the same requirements as the $14,000 one I won. Then again...I know that they run out of scholarships, too. D;

And nothing else interesting is going on in my life. Back to being boring. ; u ;

Point commissions and writing trades are still open since I'm bored out of my head and need points for another PM. PayPal commissions are still closed, unfortunately. *cries* I'm still working on the last two trades on my list and hopefully, I'll put up the new batch of commissions when I'm finished. Please send in orders and help me towards my new goal! 83

Well, that's all for now! Thanks again for reading and have a great day/night! :wave:

Good luck with whatever is on your list.

Speaking of money, your trade might be postponed a bit longer since I've returned home and am busy when not searching for jobs and applying. So sorry about that in advance.

Haha, thanks! |D

Nah, it's fine. I'll live. XD Have you had any luck in finding a good job? :3

I've applied to Gamestop as a part-time job, hopefully they'll call me back for an interview. Otherwise I'm sending out resumes to offices that have asked for receptionists.

I hope I get a job soon, since more than half of my paychecks are going to go to my parents.

I bet it'd be pretty cool to work at Gamestop. :D Do you get discounts on any of the games they sell? I also heard that they buy old iPods but I could be wrong.

I see. I assume the money you get from them will help with bills, right?

Yeah, it'll help with the house/bills/whatever they need to pay.

What's left over will be spent on groceries or saved for school in the future.

Not sure about the iPods but I wouldn't be surpried - I hear Gamestop treats its employees like crap but I don't really care as long as I do my job and they just pay me for work I do. They tend to sell pretty crappy games anyway so I buy mine online. =P

Ah, cool. :D I'd most likely have to do the same if I'm lucky enough to get a job. Is the school money for you if you decide to go back or any other siblings you have?

Well, at least you're going in with a strong attitude. Don't let the mean employees treat you badly~! :iconhappyskipplz: I didn't know they sold crappy games, though. Where can you get games online if you don't mind me asking? o:

No, it's for me when I can go back. I'll probably wait a year or two before going back to school, though, since the last two years have just left me a bad sour-taste for school/education. D:

I usually just get them from other sellers like on Amazon since that site is a bit more trust-worthy than ebay. Plus they tend to have older games if I'm in the mood to rebuy those.

That's understandable. I'm glad you're taking a break from it and getting away from the annoying professors and even the students who go there. Some people can be super-rude. D;

You shop from Amazon, too! I love Amazon! >w< The only thing that sucks about it is that they don't carry everything I would want, like Ebay sometimes does. What kinds of games do you like?
